I would have reviewed this architect sooner, but I really wanted to take some time to offer my honest feedback: he's an absolute delight and an expert in his field of architecture. All my neighbors are hoping to start some home projects and more than a few have asked for his information. I took a chance, and based on the honest and hard working guy I believe Mike to be, I went with a contractor he referred to us. Another best choice ever. We are in a weird situation where we are doing a few renovations for family (one in Texas, another in NYC). This is by far, the most fun I've had renovating. And there is an honesty where we can talk about what will work, what didn't work, how we can get around hurdles, maybe one or two change orders, etc. I never once had to talk badly about anyone on our project behind closed doors. We had a great experience working with Mike and highly recommend him. We decided to buy a home in Greenwich that needed a re-working of the first floor layout to make it more functional for our family. We were impressed with Mike's responsiveness (he would get back to us almost immediately at any time of day and on weekends), quick turnaround time, and his willingness to work around our schedule and meet with us in person on weekends. We were absolutely convinced before meeting with Mike that some structural walls would have to come down in the first floor to fit our vision. Mike was able to convince us that in fact those walls did not need to come down and that we could work around them with a functional design. His plans ended up saving us a lot of money on structural beams. We felt like he really listened to what we wanted and delivered a design that was functional and cost effective. On top of that, his pricing was super reasonable and the value he brought was significantly more than his fee.
