We are converting an existing garage into a two-floor apartment, and building a new garage elsewhere on my property. We had already gotten several estimates from contractors and they were inconsistent, difficult to compare and uncertain to meet our objectives. So we decided to start from scratch and use an architect to create plans that would meet our objectives, and serve as the basis for consistent bids from contractors. We interviewed about five architects. Michael was the best. Not only did he have an impressive portfolio, but there was great chemistry between us. And, although this was not the prime reason we selected him, he was substantially lower in price than the others.
